I just need a shade why do I need to bring in the lamp?

Variation in shade sizing and the size of the harp have a great deal to due with lamp shade selection.  If you can bring the lamp it is always better so we can adjust the harp.  If you cannot bring the lamp measure your existing shade (top x bottom x side).  We manufacture hardback and softback shades and we can order can also order just about anything.

What are hardback and softback shades?

Hardback lampshades usually have a hard liner of either styrene or paper.  Typically a hardback shade has a top ring and a bottom ring.  Full frames are normally used in shaped shades like squares and bell rectangles. We have over 100 choices of fabrics, paper, and pleated material.  We can also paint or apply faux finishes to hardback lampshades.  We can also cover hardback lampshades with your material, wallpaper, or just about anything else.

Softback lampshades have a soft lining inside and are made of either a cotton-poly blend or silk.  We currently carry over 75 frame choices and can have custom frames made.  We can reline your old shades or completely recover your old frame.

How do I  measure a Lampshade?

For round shades Measure the Top Diameter x Bottom Diameter x Side slant.

For Rectangles measure both width and depth.  Hexagons measure point to point.  Ovals measure width and depth.  Call or email if questions.

I just broke my grandmother's priceless antique vase, what can I do?

Collect all the pieces that you can and put them in bags/boxes and bring them in.  We do not guarantee that we can fix it.  We will look at it and give you an estimate.  These jobs cannot be rush jobs, they take time and money.  It may be less expensive to just come in and buy a new lamp/vase.

If you try to repair it yourself and then bring it to us it will cost you more for us to complete the repair/restoration.

My brass Lamps/Candlesticks/Accessories have tarnished, what can I do?

Bring them in and let us take a look at them.  If they are solid brass we can restore the finish and protect them with lacquer.  If they are not solid brass there are other options on finishing, we just need to see them.

I need a replacement piece of glassware for my lamp/fixture.

We have a large assortment of replacement glassware and can order anything that is still being reproduced.  Unfortunately many pieces are job lot (only so many made for so many fixtures).

These cannot be replaced, however a substitution or solution can usually be found bring in the lamp or fixture.

How big of a Chandelier do I need for to hang over my Table?

For use over a table divide the width of the table by 2 and add 4".  So a 60" table needs a 34" chandelier.  These are only guidelines not set in stone rules.

How far off my table should my Chandelier hang?

Somewhere between 28" and 34", depending on the size of centerpiece, etc.  Again this is only a guideline or starting point.  You have to be happy with how the fixture looks in the room.
